Why scan/digitise my old photos?

What format of originals do you scan?

We provide scanning for printed paper photos, Slides and Negatives. Our professional industry standard scanning equipment allows us to scan both black and white photos and colour photos. If you have other formats you want scanned, just contact us and we'll see if we accommodate your request.

How are your services priced and how will I be charged?

Photos Reunited scanning services are all-inclusive, which includes FREE packaging, FREE return delvery which is fully tracked. Our low fixed prices include everything you need to create your own photo Legacy. Fixed, affordable pricing means it's easy to convert entire collections of photographs with a single order. It also means you will know the exact, final charge when you complete your order online. We charge your credit card at time of purchase based upon the packages and optional items selected.

Should I choose DVD or CD for storing my digital images?

We highly recommend DVDs if your computer has a DVD drive because DVDs hold 7 times as many images as a CD. The quality of the image is the same on both.

Do you guarantee shipments against loss?

Photos Reunited returns all orders Recorded Delivery which is fully tracked door to door. Your package is covered by standard Royal Mail or Courier insurance for return shipments from Photos Reunited.

How many photos will the Legacy Pack you provide hold?

The Legacy Pack we will send you comprises a sturdy cardboard postal box, serveral Ziploc bags and a robust outer postal sack. Using this packaging you will be able to pack and send between 50 to 500 photos depending on which scanning package you order.

How long will it take to complete the order?

Photo scanning orders are normally completed in 7 - 10 days following reciept at the Photos Reunited Imaging Lab. During peak periods and for larger orders, the scanning process can sometimes take a little longer.

I'm nervous to send my pictures. How do you guarantee they won't be damaged or lost during shipping?

We know that your pictures are special and amongst your most valued possessions. That's why security is one of our utmost concerns. We recommend that you use the Royal Mail Special Delivery or book online at http://www.parcel2go.com/ where you will find couriers who have a reputation and track record of providing safe and secure shipping. As long as you send your photos using a tracked service there is no reason to expect any problems. When we send your photographs back to you we will return them via a reputable company that can track your order through their system ensuring they will safely reach you. Our philosophy is to treat your valuable pictures as if they were our own.

Does Photos Reunited offer FREE Shipping?

All of our scanning products include FREE Return Shipping within the United Kingdom, using secure 3rd party shippers.

Where am I sending my pictures?

We are a UK company based at Southam, Warwickshire. When you place an order with us, you will be shipping your Legacy Pack of pictures directly to our facility at Southam. Your valuable photos will not be further shipped to other remote UK or international facilities. We have geared our process to minimise the number of channels your pictures will pass through until they are returned safely to you.

Do I need to be a computer expert to use photos Reunited?

If you are already on our website reading this FAQ list, then you have all the skills you need to use the Photos Reunited service. We have made our pages very user friendly with detailed instructions of how to navigate all of our options. One of the benefits of Photos Reunited is that we provide an online photo storage and sharing services called Legacy, while our competitors direct you to additional third parties. We are a one-stop shop for all your scanning and and storage and sharing needs.

What is a Photos Reunited Workshop?

Our Workshops are held in local communities and provide an opportunity to have your old photos digitally scanned without the requirement to send them to our Lab. The Workshops are an ideal opportunity to meet and speak with a Photos Reunited Legacy Team and to remain with your photos while they are professionally scanned.

How much does it cost to attend a Photos Reunited Workshop?

Nothing, they are completely free to attend. The only thing you will he asked to pay for will be for any actual scanning services you purchase.

Where can I find details about local Workshop's in my area?

What if there are no Workshops scheduled in my local area?

If there are no Workshops scheduled in your local area then inform us using the Workshop Request form that can be found on the Workshops page on the website and we will do our best to arrange for one to take place near to where you live.
